Dewayne E. Schulte, age 62, of Centralia, passed away at 10:28 AM on Monday, February 3, 2025 at St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia, after a brave battle with cancer.
He was born Wednesday, July 25, 1962 in Centralia, a son of Henry and Mickey (Biggs) Schulte.
Dewayne, a loving father, grandfather, and friend, may have struggled with many situations in life, but his love for his family and his zest for life were unparalleled. As a laborer for the city, Dewayne worked tirelessly to provide for his loved ones. But it was his role as a father and grandfather that brought him the most joy. He adored his family and was always there to lend a listening ear, a helping hand, or a joke to turn a negative situation around. Dewayne's humor was contagious, and he had a gift for making everyone laugh, even on their worst days. He loved baseball and was quite proud of his Cardinals and Nascar collections.
