Claire "Tad" Cooper, age 68, passed away on February 14, 2024.
Tad worked as an educator, after working as a coal miner. He loved spending time with his family and friends, playing music, jet-skiing, boating, and simply spending time on the water.
Tad is survived by his wife- Susan Cooper; children- Emily Lepley and husband Rick, and Christopher Cooper; two grandchildren- Colton and Londyn; siblings- Lucy Kozak and husband Stephen, Joe Cooper and wife Jo, and Duff Cooper; and several nieces and nephews.
Tad was preceded in death by his parents and his brother and sister-in-law- Mac and Barbara Cooper.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, July 29, 2024 at McElvain Cemetery in Du Quoin. Family and friends are asked to gather directly at the cemetery. A celebration of life will continue at Route 51 Brewery following the committal at the cemetery.
