Gerald D. Piper, 90, of Elkville, IL, passed away on May 25, 2024, at Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehabilitation. He worked for Burning Star #2 Coal Mine. Gerald served in the United States Navy. In honor of his memory, donations can be made to Du Quoin V.F.W. Post 513.
